Why spend $20-$30 on wedding hair pins that you only wear for that special occasion, when you can save money by doing a DIY Hair Accessory Project! I found this great article on www.diybride.com that may help you with this easy project!
- Bobby Pins
- Pearl Beads
- Beading Wire
- Wire Cutters
- Super Glue
Step 1: Cut your wire to fit your beads and a little extra to tie at the end. My wire was about 3 1/2 inches long, and left plenty of room to tie.
Step 2: String your beads onto the wire. Place a tiny amount of super glue to one side of the stringed bead, and hold the beads together for a few seconds. Then repeat with the next beads. The glue will hold the beads together for extra stability.
Step 3: Wrap one end of the wire to the end of the bobby pin and tie. Place the beads along the top of your pin, pull the wire tight, and tie securely.
Step 4: Cut excess wire.
Step 5: Set aside to dry the glue.
Step 6: Place in your hair to complete your look!
This hair accessory is a simple way to add a DIY touch to your wedding style. It’s time-savvy, only taking about 10 minutes for two and you can wear again. You will probably have plenty of supplies leftover for matching jewelry.
